Scientific research program includes four central themes:
Development of the technology for gene therapy of insulin-dependant
pancreatic diabetes and atherosclerosis (Toporova O.K.)
Bacterial
colonies associated with plants and their application for plant growth including
growth in extraterrestrial conditions. (Kozyrovska N.O.)
Substantiation of the
safety use of bacteria for plant growing beyond the Earth (Kozyrovska N.O.)
Stem cells biology (Deryabina O.G.).
Our recent achievements:
- Technology of target gene delivery into cells for therapeutic purposes
is under development
- Conceptual investigation on the growing of pioneer plants in the
greenhouses of the Moon with involvement of microbial communities is in
progress.
- Studies on the mechanism of genetic material transfer between
mammalian cells.
- Influence of different cells of mice embryo tissues on an adult
organism is being investigated.
