Place of employment: Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IMBG NASU). Position: Vice-Director of the Institute.

Awards: Member of Scientific Council of IMBG NASU; Member of the Editorial boards of Journals "Biosensors and Bioelectronics" (Great Britain) and “Biopolymers and Cell” (Ukraine); holder of personal grants for young scientists from Ministry of Science and Technology of Ukraine (grant ¹ 287/96, 1996), Soros International Scientific Foundation (grant ¹ YSU 084030, 1998) and INTAS (grant ¹ YSF 98-131, 1999).

Scientific activities:

  • Methods of immobilization of natural and recombinant proteins, living cells, chemical molecules;
  • Development of electrochemical micro- and nanosensors for needs of medical diagnostics, control of food quality and safety, and environmental monitoring;
  • Design of laboratory prototypes of bio/chemosensors;
  • Study of a role of bio/chemorecognizing molecules and structure of bioselective layers in optimization of analytical characteristics of electrochemical sensors.
In the last decade, over 10 international and domestic grants are obtained, wide collaboration with scientists from world known laboratories in France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Canada, Tunisia has been established, communications with research institutions of USA, China, Morocco, and Algeria are in progress.
